has been intimately involved in ministry for more than 30 years as a church administrator, minister of music, preacher, author and teacher. Prior to assuming pastoral duties at Jerusalem, Rev. Teal served as Executive Assistant to the Senior Minister (Rev. Dr. Leonard N. Smith) at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (Arlington, VA). Prior to entering into full time ministry, Pastor Teal has worked as a litigator, clerk of court, and court administrator. He currently serves as an adjunct instructor at the Lancaster Bible College (Business Law and Political Science). He is actively involved in the Baptist Convention of DC & Vicinity (Treasurer), the Missionary Baptist Ministers Conference of DC & Vicinity (Treasurer) and the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. is a preacher and teacher of the gospel. She is the First Lady and serves as a member of the Ministerial Staff of the Jerusalem Baptist Church. Prior to joining her husband in his pastoral assignment, she served as an Associate Minister at the Mount Zion Baptist Church, Arlington, VA, where Dr. Leonard N. Smith is the Senior Minister. Since April 2005, Rev. Teal has taught classes in Spiritual Formation, which seek to educate disciples in the basic spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, study and meditation, for their spiritual growth and transformation to the image of Christ. Rev. Teal is an honors graduate of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union. She serves as the CFO of the Baptist World Alliance.
is the longest-tenured member of our ministerial staff, having served in ministry here since 1997. Rev. Clark is a graduate of the Washington Baptist Theological Seminary and the Howard University School of Divinity. She has distinguished herself as both preacher and teacher in the Jerusalem family and beyond. Hers is an open heart always ready to pray and to praise.
brings a wealth of ecclesiastical and public sector experience to the Jerusalem Family. A U.S. Army veteran and a graduate of the Carnegie Mellon University, having earned a Masters Degree in Public Policy & Management, he has also pursued post-graduate theological studies at the Howard University School of Divinity and is currently a DMin candidate at the Ashland Theological Seminary (Cleveland, OH). Rev. Martin enjoys and excels at preaching and teaching the Gospel.
serves as Special Assistant to the Pastor. Rev. Willis is a graduate of the Candler School of Theology of Emory University. He is a former school teacher and a credentialed chaplain, with extensive experience in Christian education and ministry to youth and young adults.
is a life-long member of the Jerusalem Baptist Church. He is the son of the late Deacon Frank Crawford & Deaconess Jermaine Crawford. Min. Crawford preached his initial sermon in November 1999.
