The Women's Ministry of the Jerusalem Church offers opportunities for worship, fellowship and spiritual formation in ways targeted to meet the needs of women.  While we hold fast to the Biblical truth that in Christ "there is neither male nor female," we also recognize that ministry among and between women has a storied Biblical and practical history, which makes Women's Ministry a vital, necessary place and space in the worship, work and witness of our Church.

The Ushers Ministry of the Jerusalem Church plays an important role in setting the atmosphere for worship.  They graciously greet members and visitors - we actually like to think of them as family and friends - who join us for Worship.  They also assist those less familiar with our Church environs with finding the facilities and rooms located throughout the building.  Whenever you Worship with us, you will find a smiling usher, who is committed to serving God by serving you!

The Bible declares that we ought train up children in the way of the Lord.  At Jerusalem, we take pride in doing just that and doing it well!  Ours is a multi-generational Church, and our young people participate eagerly and fully in its worship, work and witness.  Deaconness Maxine Rice and the Youth Ministry Staff of the Jerusalem Church love working with our young people.  And they recognize that Christian training can and should be interesting, engaging and (dare we say) fun!

For more than a decade P.R.A.I.S.E.  Liturgical Dance Ministry has been "raising the praise" at the Jerusalem Baptist Church.  P.R.A.I.S.E. is an inter-generational liturgical dance troupe, whose sole aim is to give glory to God, while leading the people of God in worship.   Ms. Jaday Myers, a senior at Towson University, majoring in dance, serves as our choreographer.  P.R.A.I.S.E.'s offerings cover a broad range of dance styles from ballet to jazz to hip-hop.

In the latter part of 2013 Deacon John Page was led of God to revitalize our Men's Ministry.  His enthusiasm has been contagious!  The Men of the Church are embarking on a journey of service, fellowship and spiritual formation.   The Men have already undertaken projects around the Church, such as light fixture and sound system upgrades.  Not limiting themselves to in-reach, the Men of the Church provided security for the Saturday Supper program for several years.  (The Saturday Supper program is sponsored by a consortium of Churches in the Georgetown area.  It is an ecumenical, multi-cultural ministry endeavor.)  The Men's Ministry actively partners with our Youth Ministry to provide activities and supporting funds for our young people.
